What's on in Paddington this June

It’s finally June! Summer in Paddington has officially started. The choice of activities to do in London can sometimes be mind-boggling. So we have narrowed it down to some of the top things to do this June in Paddington.

Water Zorbing, 2nd June
Merchant Square is starting off their Summer of Fun with water zorbing! Between 12-3pm, Merchant Square is giving you the opportunity to get out onto the canal without getting wet for FREE.

Summer Fete, 9th June
Introducing Merchant Square’s throwback summer fete! Pop down on your lunchbreak where you can have the chance to relive your childhood again and play on the coconut shy, gladiator joust or try your hand at giant lawn games.

Euros 2016, 10th June – 10th July
The football season is over but the European Championships are just getting started! Kicking off on Friday 10th June, we have found a couple of the best venues in Paddington for you to cheer on your favourite team! Sports Bar & Grill Marylebone, with 19 HD screens you can be sure that you won’t miss any of the matches wherever you are, The Carpenters Arms – Offering a constant differing selection of Ales and Lagers and the opportunity to show what you’re made of on the dartboard!

Bike Week, 11th June – 19th June
13th June is the start of national bike week, and what better way to promote cycling in Hyde Park than having free cycling training for children under 10! On 18th June From 10am – 3.30pm you will be able to have your bike registered by the Metropolitan Police, have maintenance and safety checks on your bike and bring your little ones along for a free cycle training session too.

Floating Market, 16th June – 19th June
Merchant Square will play host to a floating market! With traders selling from their boats along the canal, you can find everything here from vintage clothing to art and craft and jewellery. There will also be live music performances as well as plenty of eateries to settle your taste buds.

Canalside Lectures, 30th June
Who would have thought it was possible to go to a lecture and have a cocktail at the same time! On Thursday 23rd June Merchant Square will be hosting the canalside lectures. Giving you the opportunity to expand your mind and learn something new. Tickets include a free craft beer or soft drink.

Tennis in the Basin, 27th June-10th July
Monday 27th June sees the start of Wimbledon! Couldn’t get your hands on some tickets? Merchant Square will be showing all Wimbledon matches on the outdoor lawn. Drinks and snacks will be available throughout all matches, so go along and grab some strawberries and Pimms!

Little Venice
Fed up of getting the bus and tube everywhere? Why not head to Little Venice, just behind Paddington’s main station and take a boat trip down to Regents Park or Camden Market! Open Saturdays and Sundays between 10.30am and 3pm.
